About GyanBook

What is GyanBook India?

GyanBook India is an online exam-preparation platform for Indian students. You can take timed practice quizzes and mock tests for entrance and recruitment exams such as JEE, NEET, CUET, NIMCET, CAT, GATE, UPSC and SSC, as well as Classes 9–12, and see your score, solutions and progress after every test.

Is GyanBook free?

Yes. Creating an account and practising with the free quizzes costs nothing. Some quizzes are marked Premium and need a paid plan — see the Plans page for current prices.

Which exams does GyanBook cover?

The exam directory lists 124 exams and classes across engineering, medical, CUET, MCA, management, law, civil services, SSC, banking, defence, teaching and school classes. Detailed guides with the exam pattern, syllabus and eligibility are available for JEE Main, JEE Advanced, NEET UG, CUET UG, NIMCET, CAT, GATE, UPSC CSE and more. Quizzes are added exam by exam, so check the Quizzes page for your exam.

Are the exam guides official?

No. GyanBook is independent and not affiliated with NTA, UPSC, the IITs, the IIMs or any other exam body. Each guide shows the date its facts were last checked and links to the official website, where you should confirm dates and rules before applying.

Quizzes & scores

How are GyanBook quizzes scored?

Each quiz uses its own marking scheme, including negative marking where the real exam has it. Your answers are checked on GyanBook’s server when you submit, and you then see your score, accuracy and the correct answers with explanations.

Can I retake a quiz?

Yes, as often as you like for practice. XP and leaderboard points are awarded only for your first attempt at each quiz, so leaderboards stay fair.

How do the leaderboards work?

Each exam has weekly, monthly, yearly and all-time leaderboards based on first-attempt scores. Weeks and months follow Indian Standard Time.

Can I practise in Hindi?

Where a question has a Hindi version, it is shown alongside the English text, including the options and explanations. Most quizzes are currently in English.

How do I change my target exam?

Use “Change Exam” on the Quizzes page or update your exam in your profile. Your quiz list switches to the new exam straight away.
